House Hunting is Hardly Happy
Richard and I have been house hunting for a few months now, and although it started out as fun and full of possibilities... it is quickly becoming a disappointing hassle.
This weekend marks the second occasion on which we have found a house that we really liked, only to have it swept away. Well, this weekend in particular, it turned out that the house was actually off the market before we even stepped inside. Which is unfortunate since we DID step inside, fell in love with several features, and starting taking action to make an offer as soon as possible. The house had been on the market four days, well, three days considering that it was not really "on the market" early on the fourth day.
"No! Someone stop that house thief!"
Needless to say, it was pretty tough to hear that our request for a second showing was declined. It put a damper on the rest of the weekend. I guess we hadn't realized how excited we were getting about the house until the house was no longer an option.
So,
Nothing to really do about it but wait for that house to come along, I suppose.
Well that or pray that the other contract falls through...

Nope, just a fabulous apartment (sarcasm sarcasm). We have certainly started the home search before, but something would always come up. This time we have become an unstoppable house hunting force... that always arrives a few hours too late, lol.
