Wedding Whales
July 30th was our 1 year anniversary, and to celebrate we went to San Antonio!
We rode the trolley, strolled the riverwalk, had great Italian food, and went to Sea World -- the most romantic place on Earth.
Ok, so its not such a romantic place by itself, but you want to know what is romantic?
When your husband surprises you with a backstage pass to suit up and get in the water with a Beluga whale! Que romantico!
After some mediocre Mexican food and a quick stop in Austin to watch a drug addict vomit into a trash can, we were home and The Ant Bully wasn't doing so great.
Many people, including former co-workers, have speculated as to why the movie didn't do so well, so I wont bother attempting to figure it out. I will admit, however, that I was extremely disappointed in the marketing strategy (or lack thereof). It is a really great feeling to be talking to someone about the movie and get the response "When does it come out again?"
Oh about a month ago. Yeah...
So anyways, it sounds like there is going to be a quiet time up at DNA for a while. Most people who were left at DNA were layed off earlier this week, many for the second time. I thought it was quiet up there when there were 20 people left, I can't imagine what its like with only a handful. That signals pretty much the end of the road for those of us who were trying to wait for DNA. It's time to find something else, at least for now.
