Saying farewell to Joe Riley

Wednesday evening Joe Riley suffered a massive heart attack and passed away.
That evening we lost a friend, a coworker, a great man, and a superb artist.
A world without Joe is a place I can't imagine, nor do I want too.
I could never express my feelings as eloquently as the other's before me have, other's who knew him better than I and can do him justice. And so, because of this, I am just going to point you to a better blog entry.

Thanks for saying what a lot of us don't know how to say right now, Deanna.

You will be truly missed, Joe.

Well, as close as I care to get, anyways. You might remember me mentioning our victory in the Dallas 24 Hour Video Race a few months back. You might even remember me saying that it was going to be aired on PBS at a time yet to be determined. It has probably been bothering you for months. You've probably been laying awake at night wishing that you knew exactly when it was going to be on. Well, worry no more... turns out it is going to be on tomorrow night, just in time for my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday, Mom! It's not much notice, I know, but I'm just glad we all found out *before* it was on, before we all lost another night of sleep...
